Hypnosis Machine employs a laid back, understated groove with a far off drone setting an erry tone. Disparate elements are added to create an interesting collage before hopeful chords appear adding contrast to the darker more introspective feel. Finally, Kessel Run is a jam recorded in one take with minimal editing. It is powerful, chaotic techno with deep chords emerging late on in the track to alter the mood. Enjoy.

Amy Duncan- The Whole Town: Roddy Hutchison Remixes

Amy Duncan/ Roddy Hutchison

Roddy has remixed Scottish singer songwriter Amy Duncan's ethereal track, 'The Whole Town' from her new album 'The Hidden World'. The first rework, 'Duncan's Head Mix' uses 7 parts of Amy's voice to produce a collage of vocal snippets set to deep house. The first rework, 'Duncan's Head Mix' uses 7 parts of Amy's voice to produce a collage of vocal snippets set to deep house. Second track, 'Lost Mix' is more electronica in flavour with hypnotic, slowly evolving pad chords over Amy's voices and repeating bassline. The third and final version, 'Middle Distance Mix' ends the ep with a dark Detroit inspired bassline and drum track with hopeful chords and dream-like use of delays. Enjoy.
